Greg Harrison

Greg Harrison, PhD, P.E., is a forensic engineer and Vice President of a publicly traded casino-related company. For 17 years, Greg studied classical clarinet with Sidney Forrest and also studied jazz clarinet with Joseph Rinaldi. The most influence, however, came from Pete Fountain; the famed jazz clarinetist from New Orleans. Greg started to listen to Pete at the age of 10 and to the present. Greg performs on the same LeBlanc Pete Fountain model clarinet that Pete performed with during the 70s & 80s. In addition, Greg also uses the same double-clarinet case of Pete's that traveled to the Johnny Carson show 59 times.

Rick Rowe

Guitarist Rick Rowe is a Washington D.C. native and performs regularly around the D.C./Baltimore region. He started out playing nightclubs, lounges, dive bars, and toured with The Coasters. In D.C., Rick has played with a number of traditional jazz groups including The Clarinet Connection and Southern Comfort, as well as big bands such as Doc Scantlin's Imperial Palms, Kaleidoscope, Richard Bray, New Columbia, and Radio King. His playing has taken him to London, Frankfurt, and Hong Kong, as well as jazz festivals around the U.S. Rick studied with and was largely influenced by his friend Steve Jordan; an internationally known rhythm guitarist from the swing era. Rick is also inspired by the likes of Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Barney Kessel, and Herb Ellis. Some of these influences can be heard in his playing to this day.

CHRIS HOFER

Chris Hofer was born in Nebraska City; the home of Arbor Day, “Trees a Joy Forever.” He began playing guitar while in grade school and trombone in middle school before finally settling on the bass. He studied music at the University of Nebraska and North Texas State before moving to Maryland in 1992. Chris enjoys playing a wide range of music styles and considers himself lucky to play with some of the area’s finest musicians.
